Specific services your designers/artisans offer is essential in planning, knowing and thinking about how they can help you. When boiled down, graphic design is simply about communication. And to be affective, you should know what areas your designers excel in, what they experiment with, and what they simply do not do.

Flyers/Postcards:
Business often stems from conversations and introductions through friends/associates. But on occasion, a promotional flyer or postcard is picked up and enjoyed by a potential client of yours. So, wouldn't you prefer to have well styled graphics that look and feel good? Inks and paper-stocks can be specifically chosen for your job.Folding items:
While LM can handle your tri-folds, this category refers more to the packaging end of things. Custom designed boxes, folders and presentation-material-design is available to help you stand out. Printing typically costs a bit extra but the eye-catching abilities of customized folders makes it worth the extra cost.Magazine and Newspaper ads:

Flash Design:
While flash isn't "the thing of the future" any longer, it's still around, active and influencing the masses through animations found on-line and in television. And now that popular cell phones like the Motorola DROID are supporting flash (Link), it doesn't seem to be going anywhere just yet. In 2010 their are many/different ways flash can be helpful to you.
Promotional-Animations:
Do you already have a website, and just want to add a little movement to attract customers to an event or promotion? This is where short animations can really come in handy. It's time to forget about cookie-cutter text effects, and instead go with something meaningful, that's customized to fit your product or business.
Micro-sites &
Web Environments:
These sites are for clients who simply want to let the creative minds of Langur Media have complete control over viewer-friendly interaction using sound, video and/or animation. There are few limitations to the creativity of a designer working within a flash-drive environment. Our knowledge of the material allows creatively unique ideas such as record album navigation (Link) and day to night progression (Link) happen fluidly in front viewers eyes. And the beauty of a flash micro-site is that it can be stacked on top of HTML coding so iPhones and other mobile devices can still have access to your website.
Full Page Animations:
Animated introductions for websites and/or television are great fun to watch and to create! These projects are the most dynamic as they oftentimes require not only design and programming technicians, but sound engineering as well.As an abstract animator, Jonathan Sears honed his skill-set while receiving his MFA from the University of Maryland, College Park (2006), and leads the LM animation team, which includes an addition artist/consultant as well as a sound engineer (when necessary). And while there aren't many complex animations on this site, multiple examples of his work (currently showing nationwide) can be found in his personal portfolio: HERE.

The internet gained its popularity through HTML, so we continue designing with it. Unlike many internet technologies, HTML isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Of course it's much more involved than it once was. But it's still HTML. And to consider an internet world without it is currently unheard of. As new versions are developed and JavaScript, CSS, PHP, Ruby and other accompanying technologies are released, it is important to keep up with or at least know what's availbale. This is one reason, like most "good" designers/design firms, Langur Media continues to pursue technologies that aide and mend well with our current skill set.
Since we can't learn everything, it's our focus to improve on what we already know.
Leading by example:
All of the navigation, buttons, rollover affects here, at LangurMedia.com (not Langur Media beta), are programmed using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and a few sound files. Of course a flash object or two may eventually populate the screen from time to time, but the HTML will remain dominant ...unless of course we decide to make an awesome, spectacular, mind-blowing, out-of-this-world, beautiful, fantastic, flash-only, anti-iPhone, sister-flash-site for your full sensory enjoyment! ---------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------Farm or consult:
Are you a designer who needs help solidifying something you have yet to finish/have been contracted to complete? Vector redrawing:
A lot of untrained artists and designers alike have great ideas and illustration skills, but just lack the patience to create fully-scalable vector graphics. Plus, wouldn't you like to feel comfortable knowing your imagery could be stretched as far as you can imagine without becoming blurry or pixalated? We can take your pen and paper drawings, and convert them into vector drawings that are needed to create a number of outputs such as signage.Image retouching:

A few other things worth mentioning...
Photography:
Photographic services are available upon request as well, but are typically reserved to work in conjunction with other design services to form discounted packages. Langur Media is by no means a photography studio. While we have extensive training in lighting and photographic composition, our goal is not to take business away from the high end photographers who need work as well.
That being said, a number of our clients have had us shoot photographs for their websites and print ads. And we have adequit equipment to handle a lot of situations.
Pricing:
Pricing varies from job to job, so it's best to just contact us if you have any specific questions. Everything is talored to fit your needs, so we are willing to work with you to find the most affordable solutions ...per job and/or hourly.Also, to note, when dealing with printed materials, cost is greatly affected by number of prints, paper choices, customized options and (some) specific inks used.
